Sunless Days

Today I decided to talk a nice long walk to really feel the city. It was another cold and sunless day. In fact the sun has yet to show its shiny face here in st. Petersburg since I have been back to Russia. What a sad thing. But what was really funny was how many grotesquely tan people there were on the streets. I don’t know who these st. petersburgers are trying to fool, but in a city that averages 35 days of sunshine a year, any tan is so obviously fake that against the white of the snow, it is almost unbearable to look at. I don’t get it. Its stupid. They look so stupid. All dark and tan, where there is no sun. stupid.
